The Spanish Springs Cougar Battalion has been active for all 20 years that the school has been open. In those 20 years, we have accomplished tremendous things for our community, school, and cadets. We are led by three instructors: Lieutenant Colonel Wales, Sergeant First Class Mendenhall, and Master Sergeant Baumgarten. The Battalion cares deeply about doing events outside of school hours with our cadets. We are a serious competitor in the Washoe County School district in both Drill, Raider, and Rifle. Our Drill team has been to nationals three times. Raider has also been to nationals 3 consecutive years, and our Rifle team has been to nationals 7 consecutive times. Through the various accomplishments of both our special teams and the cadets, we hope to carry on the tradition of excellence.
