Alpha Company

Alpha Company has adopted the 82nd Airborne Division Patch, activated in August of 1917. It was one of the National Army Divisions of conscript soldiers. As the division filled, it was discovered that there were soldiers from every state. Through a popular contest, the nickname “All American Division” was chosen to reflect the unique composition of the 82nd Infantry Division. During World War II, the 82nd Infantry patch was adopted by the Army to be one of the elite airborne fighting units. They distinguished themselves during WWII in the European theater. The colors red, white, and blue represent the colors of the American flag.

Alpha Company now goes by the name Special Teams/Headquarters company following a change to the company operations in mid-2020. Alpha operates differently than the other companies as it focuses more on the special teams that our battalion offers. Many of the cadets in Alpha are a part of other companies so they still get the JROTC knowledge and experience.
